AcryliCloche® Tortoise Shelters
A sun tunnel in your outdoor tortoise enclosure will provide your tortoise with extra warmth and shelter during cloudy and rainy days. Perfect for when you are out all day and the weather changes. This helps keeps your tortoise warm, dry and active encouraging it to feed and graze and then get out in the natural sunlight for those all important UV rays.
Dry shelter - Provide your tortoise with a dry outdoor shelter area all year round.
Provide your Tortoise with a dry shelter in your outdoor tortoise enclosure. If your tortoise needs a dry area then our Acrylicloche® covers will keep the substrate dry and keep your tortoise warm.
Grow your own tortoise food
Growing your own tortoise food will provide your tortoise with a healthy mixture of edible annual and perennial plants. Special tortoise seed mixes are available allowing your tortoise to graze on natural food for healthy growth.
Use your Acrylicloche® cover to speed up germination of your tortoise seed mix. Place Acrylicloche® over the area you have sown with the seed mix to speed up germination and boost plant growth at the beginning and end of the growing season. Acrylicloche® covers will also boost growth and encourage flowering of your tortoise friendly plants. The flowers are an essential part of your tortoise healthy diet.
Once your tortoise has grazed a patch of ground place the Acrylicloche® covers over it and block the ends to prevent the tortoise gaining access. This will allow the plants to re grow and recover before the tortoise can graze again.
Important
Place your AcryliCloche® Tortoise Shelter outside with PLENTY of room at each end for your Tortoise to get out. Never block the ends or leave your Tortoise under AcryliCloche® Tortoise Shelter.
