Wind

Q -  Will my AcryliCloche® Garden Cloche blow away in the wind ?

A -  AcryliCloche® are sturdy and will not move in normal winds. AcryliCloche® Tent or Low Barn Cloche 500 for example weighs approximately 2.1lb or 944g so are not likely to blow away under normal conditions. You can earth up around your cloche and the end pieces to stop wind getting under them and lifting them off.  If you have a very exposed site then you can put some garden netting over them and peg through the netting into the earth to secure them.

Watering my plants

Q - How do I water the plants under my AcryliCloche® ? 

A - Your AcryliCloche® will trap moisture which will condense and run back into the earth or simply lift your cloche, water then replace. Otherwise it is better to leave your cloches in place and soak over the top of them. Water will run down the sides and give the earth a really good soak encouraging the plants to grow deep roots for their water.

End Pieces

Q - How do I keep the end pieces in place.

A - End packs contain squares of flexible PVC and clips. Place the PVC loosely over the ends and press the clips on.

Weather

Q - Will frost or sunshine damage my AcryliCloche® ? 

A - Your AcryliCloche® is made from very strong 3mm thick acrylic which has outstanding weathering properties and will not shatter in hard frost or a covering of snow. AcryliCloche® can withstand very high temperatures before it melts. Your AcryliCloche® Garden cloche will not discolour or craze in very cold or hot weather and is covered by a 5 Year Guarantee against UV damage.

Q -Can I leave my AcryliCloche® out all winter?

A - Yes! We positively encourage the use of cloches for protection of winter vegetables and plants. Your cloche will not be damaged by hard frosts and will not collapse under a covering of snow.

Care

Q - Will my AcryliCloche® break?

A - AcryliCloche® Garden Cloches are made from strong 3mm thick acrylic which is up to 17 times stronger than glass. As with all products there are certain stress points so please avoid the following

• Do not push your Cloche or End pieces down into the earth, this may cause the bend line to break. It is safer to earth up around your cloche.
• Do not push the sides of the cloche in or pull them out,this may cause the bend line to break.
  
• Do not stack or place heavy objects on top of your cloche
• Do not drop your cloche
  

Q - Do I need to maintain my AcryliCloche® in any way ? 

A - Simply wash down with water and a very mild liquid soap solution, washing up liquid is fine. Do not use any other detergent or chemical product to clean your cloche as this may affect the surface appearance. Do not use abrasive cloth as this will scratch the cloche surface.

Q- Will it matter if my AcryliCloche® get's scratched

A - Scratches do not affect the performance of your cloche in any way, only the appearance.
